Reading

Meter reading

If you report your meter reading regularly, you pay for the gas you actually used, without estimates and later corrections on your bill.

How to read your gas meter

Enter only the black digits. They show consumption in whole cubic metres (m³). The red digits after the decimal point are not needed.

You enter: 04826

The reading is submitted by the owner or user of the metering point, together with the name of the person in whose name the connection is registered, the address of the metering point and the meter reading. The metering point number and meter number, shown on your bill, are optional but speed up processing.

Send your reading

Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required.

Enter your full name.
Enter the address of the metering point.
You will find it on your gas bill.
Enter the meter reading (digits only).
Enter a valid email address.

One more step

We have opened your email program with a prepared message. Just click Send. If it did not open, copy the message and send it to info@plin-konjscina.hr.

If you do not report a reading, consumption for the billing period is estimated from your previous consumption and the difference is corrected after the next actual reading. Our staff also read meters on site from time to time, so please give them access.

If prices change during a billing period, you can submit your meter reading within three days of the new prices taking effect. If you do not, consumption is divided between the periods before and after the change in proportion to the number of days.

Bills

Bills and payment

e-bill: your bill by email

Since 1 July 2020 you can receive your gas bill by email. An emailed bill arrives faster and more reliably than a printed one and saves paper. You can sign up at info@plin-konjscina.hr by sending your full name, the address of the metering point and the email address at which you would like to receive the bill.

How is gas billed?

The gas meter measures consumption in cubic metres (m³), while the bill shows energy in kilowatt hours (kWh). The volume from the meter is converted to normal conditions (Nm³) and multiplied by the gross calorific value: kWh = Nm³ × gross calorific value (Hg). We publish the calorific value every month; over the last twelve published months it averaged 11.47 kWh/m³.

100 Nm³gas volume at normal conditions
× 11.47kWh/m³, gross calorific value (Hg)
= 1,147 kWhenergy shown on the bill

The billing period is one month; for households it can also be three or six months. In that case you pay monthly amounts between bills, estimated from your consumption in the same period of the previous year. Compare the gas volume on your bill with your meter: if they differ by five percent or more, you have the right to complain. You can ask for the bill to be checked within five days of receiving it; if the request is justified, you receive a corrected bill within ten days, free of charge.

Prices

Prices and tariffs

The price of gas for households under the public supply service is set by the Croatian Energy Regulatory Agency (HERA). You pay for the energy used (kWh) and a fixed monthly charge.

Valid from 1 October to 31 December 2026

0.0394 €per kWh, gas procurement cost
0.0079 €per kWh, gas supply cost
0.0024-0.0122 €per kWh for distribution, depending on the tariff model
1.33-66.36 €per month, fixed charge Ts2 depending on the model

The tariff model (TM) depends on the annual consumption of the metering point. Most households fall under TM1 (up to 5,000 kWh a year) or TM2 (5,001 to 25,000 kWh).

Tariff items for the public gas supply service for the period from 1 October to 31 December 2026 under the HERA decision (Official Gazette 101/2026). Amounts exclude VAT.

The final price is the sum of the procurement cost (0.0394 €/kWh), the supply cost (0.0079 €/kWh) and the distribution cost. For customers in residential buildings the fixed monthly charge Ts2 is increased by 0.40 € per metering point to cover the gas tightness and safety testing of the installation required by the Flammable Liquids and Gases Act.

Official decisions and price lists

The decision was published in the Official Gazette (Narodne novine) 101/2026; all price decisions are also available at hera.hr.

Gas market

Switching supplier

As a final customer you are free to choose your gas supplier. Switching is free of charge and is done separately for each metering point, while the gas keeps arriving through the same network. The network and meter reading remain the responsibility of the distribution system operator.

  1. Application form

You download the supplier switching form from the system of the gas market operator (HROTE), at hrote.hr. The procedure must be started within 45 days of downloading the form.

  2. Application to the new supplier

You submit the completed application to the new supplier, on paper or electronically, entering the meter reading you took yourself. The new supplier tells you by the fifth working day whether it accepts the application.

  3. Switching procedure

The new supplier starts the procedure in the HROTE system and informs you. The procedure takes at most 15 working days. If there are overdue unpaid debts to the current supplier, the procedure is stopped.

  4. Gas meter reading

If the current supplier does not accept your reading, we read the meter as the distribution system operator, on the day the new supplier starts supplying gas.

  5. Contract and final bill

You sign the supply contract with the new supplier no later than the end of the procedure. The previous supplier issues the final bill within 30 working days.

As the public service supplier, we must accept the application of any household in our distribution area that wants to switch to the public gas supply service.

Application form on the HROTE website

The procedure is set out in the General Terms of Gas Supply (Official Gazette 50/18, 88/19, 39/20, 100/21, 103/22, 68/23), Articles 28 to 36.

Supply

Disconnection and reconnection

Temporary suspension at your request

If you will not use gas for a longer period (for example, the house is empty or being renovated), you can ask for the supply to be suspended. Suspension and reconnection are carried out by our staff and charged according to the Price list of non-standard services.

Terminating the contract and reconnection

The public service gas supply contract is terminated by a written request, with 15 days' notice and a meter reading on the day of termination. Termination is free of charge, and the request is accepted if all amounts due have been paid by that day. To reconnect a previously disconnected metering point, submit a reconnection request.

Suspension for safety reasons or non-payment

Supply may be suspended when a faulty installation endangers people or property, and in case of non-payment. For non-payment, the customer first receives a written reminder with a deadline of at least ten days, followed by a written suspension notice with a deadline of at least three days. Supply to customers with the status of vulnerable customer is not suspended for non-payment. Once the debt and the suspension costs are paid, supply is restored: the supplier orders reconnection within one working day. Planned interruptions due to network works are published on the Network status and works page.

After a disconnection, never open the gas valve or remove the seal yourself. Supply may only be restored by an authorised employee, after the installation has been checked.

Details

Change of details or owner

If you buy or sell a property, or change your surname or billing address, let us know so that the bill is issued to the right person and sent to the right address.

  • When the property is handed over, the previous and the new owner read the meter together and write down the reading.
  • Within 30 days of the change of ownership, the previous owner asks for the supply contract to be terminated and the new owner applies for a new contract, enclosing proof of the change of ownership and the jointly agreed meter reading.
  • For other changes, fill in the change of details form and send it by post or email.

If the new owner does not sign a supply contract, the gas supply is suspended.
