Submitting a request

A request can be submitted in writing, by post or email, or orally, in person or by phone. An official note is made of oral and telephone requests, and a request submitted electronically is treated as a written request.

A written request contains the name and registered office of the company it is addressed to, details that help identify the information requested, and the applicant's name and address, or the name and registered office of a legal entity. Applicants do not have to give reasons for their request.

You can use these forms (in Croatian) to submit a request:

Deadlines and costs

We decide on a request within 15 days of receiving a complete request at the latest. The deadline may be extended by a further 15 days if the information has to be obtained outside the company's office, if a single request asks for a large number of different items of information, or if this is necessary to ensure that the information is complete and accurate; in that case we inform the applicant and give the reasons.

No administrative or court fees are charged for access to information. The company may ask for reimbursement of the actual material costs of providing the information and of delivering it, and on request it provides the method used to calculate the charge.

If you believe that the information you received is not accurate or complete, you can request a correction or supplement within 15 days of receiving it.

Right of appeal

An appeal against the company's decision may be lodged with the Information Commissioner within 15 days of the decision being delivered. An appeal may also be lodged if the company does not decide on the request within the statutory deadline.
